The program GEOWAVE, which utilizes FUNWAVE in conjunction with the tsunami source generator code TOPICS to perform simulations of a variety of tsunami types, will henceforth be distributed from this site as well. GEOWAVE is made available by it's developers, Phi Watts, Stephan Grilli and Jim Kirby, and is distributed under the same GNU copyright agreement as the FUNWAVE code. It may be downloaded from the FUNWAVE download page without re-registration. If you are new to this page, please register as a FUNWAVE user in order to obtain either FUNWAVE or GEOWAVE.
NEWS: GEOWAVE has been parallelized for use on MPI clusters by Pophet et al (2009). A parallelized version in spherical coordinates has also been developed and an initial description is provided in Kirby et al (2009) (add reference). We hope to distribute both codes from this source shortly.

An extreme beta version of FUNWAVE 2 is now available as a gzipped tar file from the download page. The code here is based on the curvilinear, staggered grid version of FUNWAVE described in "A fully nonlinear Boussinesq model in generalized curvilinear coordinates" by Shi et al, 2001, Coastal Engineering 42, 337-358. We would be glad to get feedback on people's initial experience with the model, but would not recommend switching completely over to it if you are a consistant FUNWAVE user. This is definitely a beta. The tar file contains
